Mamavation Monday: 30 BY 30

I have decided that I am not going to be scared, worried, or even stressed about. It is going to happen whether I like it or not so I am telling myself what I tell my children, "Get over it." What you ask? Well, you see, I turn 30 in two months. Those that have reached this milestone all laugh and say it is nothing and really, it is, nothing. The problem is I am looking back. Over everything I haven't done but wanted to or put off and haven't finished.

I am making this year my Goal Year. Not like resolutions by any means but goals that I am actually going to accomplish. I am going to start with a big one and one that has haunted me most of my life. My WEIGHT. It is such a small word for something that can have such an impact on a person.

I am going to start working on this goal before I even turn 30, that is how determined I am. My first challenge to myself I am calling 30 By 30. I am planning to lose 30 pounds before I turn 30. I am going to document this journey here on my blog to help keep myself accountable and hopefully motivate any of you that are following along on my challenge.

 I will also be pledging to the Mamavation Sistahoood for support and advice! Mamavation is a fantastic group of mothers that are all trying to reach the same goal as myself. Having this online support will be great and being accountable to fellow Sistas as well my Readers will give me even more motivation to accomplish my challenge!

Each Monday I will post a scale pic. Eek, I know, but it will keep me motivated if I am sharing my number with all of you! I am excited to get this going and I will be officially starting this first challenge on Monday, March 14th! My first job is to dust off my Tae-Bo Disc for a nice Cardio workout in the AM!

    I may just join in with you. . .I need to lose about 30 too, and before my 30th b-day would be awesome. I saw pics of me in a swimsuit this weekend and it's NOT pretty!
