Delicious Ribeyes from @Walmart

I am a steak snob. I generally do not buy meat at Walmart but the recent commercials featuring Walmart Steaks peaked my interest. Is Walmart meat really not as bad as I imagined? Does it taste like what I am paying more for at my usual grocery store?

I decided to find out if a Walmart Steak is delicious or not!

I picked up 3 Ribeyes for $9.78. These were fairly large but not very thick. Price wise, breaking down to $3.26 each which is a bit cheaper than were I shop for meat. The color was beautiful, which I like in my meat.

I seasoned up the Walmart Ribeyes with McCormick Montreal Steak Grill Mates Seasoning. If you haven't tried any of the McCromick Grill Mates Seasonings, you should! There are several flavors and so far I haven't met a bad one.

We baked the Ribeyes in the oven at 350 for 30-40 minutes and they turned out great! They came out a little thinner then I hoped but the taste was great and they were very tender! The amount of fat was typical of the Ribeyes we buy as well.

Over all I am shockingly pleased by the taste of the Ribeyes from Walmart and this won't be the last time I buy them. Tomorrow night it is boneless ribs from Walmart and hopefully they turn out to be tasty as well!
