Fun Things to Do in Council Bluffs This Summer (and surrounding areas)

Is it just me or did this school year fly by? I don't know if it is because the world knows I am not ready for Tween Girl to go to middle school or if having twins did it. Either way, the kids will be home for the summer next week! Other than a trip to Adventureland, our summer will consist of one giant Staycation. Well, I will be heading to Chicago for BlogHer13 but I will be alone and focused on work.

Thankfully there are quite a few fun things to do in Council Bluffs and Surrounding Areas this summer if you are planning a Staycation too!

There are tons of events going on all summer at the Council Bluffs Library. In addition to the Summer Reading Program that starts June, you can enjoy the following activities:
  • Storytime for Ages 4-7 on Mondays and Tuesdays
  • Special Guests on Monday's following Storytime
  • Stories Alive for Under Five on Wednesdays
  • Wednesday Specials for children 6th Grade and Younger
There are also some great Teen Activities at the Library that include Teen Summer Game, Make It Happen Mondays, and Summer Art Daze.

Save on swimming and take advantage of Family Nights at the Council Bluffs Community Pools! The cost is $2.00 per person and Family Nights are held on Monday from 5:00 - 8:00 pm.
