Night of Fun at The Corky Canvas #MidwestMammasGNO

*We were provided with a complimentary drink in exchange or posting but any opinions are 100% my own.

We recently had a night of fun at The Corky Canvas in Omaha! I was super excited for my first experience at The Corky Canvas and what better way to enjoy it than with a Midwest Mammas Girls Night Out! At The Corky Canvas you can grab a drink and get your painting on all while having a fun time!

Everything you need is included in your reservation price. The night we booked was $35 and it was 1/2 price wine bottle Wednesday - score! Once we checked in, we grabbed our aprons and headed to the paint station. Colors are listed based on the painting being done that  night, but you are free to mix it up and choose the colors you want.

We pumped the recommended amounts of paint on our plate and a tad extra for safe measure.

Paint brushes are provided as well. Specifically a big paintbrush and a little paintbrush. I felt like a real artist with these fancy tools. ;) The Corky Canvas artists aren't just talented, they are also full of humor!

Our blank canvases were ready to go for us to begin out masterpiece.

I will admit I was a bit nervous about my artist skills, but I reminded myself that this was meant to be fun and I was going to end up with a piece that I myself created! With that, I began....

An artist with The Corky Canvas walked us through the painting step by step. I love that they give you enough direction to know what to do, but leave it open enough for our creativity to guide the paint brush. As I looked around the room, each canvas was taking shape with it's own unique take on the picture. Below are three canvases from our group and you can see the how the backgrounds are similar, yet so different.

It didn't take long for the background layer to dry, which was the perfect time to refill our glasses. The Peach Sparklitini was super yummy if you are looking for a recommendation on beverage.

After another glass of wine, we were ready for the next step in our painting. Things were coming together nicely and we had a lot of fun teasing each other about our swirling abilities. In the end, there is no right or wrong way, each painter interprets and paints differently.

When we were all finished painting our canvases, we took the stage to pose with our paintings! Oh how I love fun photo opps, especially when they involve props!

If you haven't been to The Corky Canvas in Omaha yet, you need to reserve a class now and experience the fun for yourself. You won't be disappointed and you will leave with a canvas that you created!

Thanks to The Corky Canvas, One Lucky Midwest Mammas Reader is going to WIN a class at The Corky Canvas Omaha location!
