Omaha Children's Museum: Dinos The Big Dig Exhibit

*I was provided with a discounted membership in exchange for posts covering new exhibits, promotions, and events. Any opinions are 100% my own and the Omaha Children's Museum is one of favorite local places to take our kids!

Omaha Children's Museum: Dinos The Big Dig Exhibit is now opening for a roaring good time! We took the twins over for their first visit this past weekend and got to check it out. Not only that, there are several new exhibits open that make for an all new experience at the museum!

Dinos The Big Dig is upstairs where the rotating special exhibits are there is plenty to do for dinosaur lovers. There are 9 robotic dinosaurs that all the kids seemed to really enjoy. One even had a cage that kids could climb into and "pretend to be held captive". The shrieks and excited screams from the "prisoners" proved it was enjoyed by all that entered.

A giant two-story Fossil Dig Pit and Playground was popular as well.

When kiddos are done playing in the Fossil Dig Pit, they can head over to the REAL Fossil and Gemstone Mining area. You can buy bags of fossils and gems to mine! Little Man couldn't come with us this time, but I can't wait to take him back to do some mining!

Before you leave The Big Dig, hop on a Dino Train Ride! ($2.00/Person) There are several other little "stations" inside Dinos The Big Dig Exhibit and this is a must see before it leaves the Omaha Children's Museum on September 7th! PS: Replacing it in October is Once Upon a Farm.

The new kid-sized exhibits on the main level of the Omaha Children's Museum are pretty awesome! First up is a pint-sized Children's Hospital and Medical Center. This was a busy place while we were there and I can see why! X-ray machine, Doctor check-up stations, new baby stations, and more filled this tiny hospital.

Next to the hospital is a kid-sized First National Bank that was almost as busy as my bank on Thursday afternoon.  Complete with a drive thru tube and teller desk!

Last, but not least, is Walker Tire and Auto Service! Kids can change tires and more at this miniature car repair shop. Other new exhibits at the Omaha Children's Museum include Fairytale Land, a musical staircase, and kid-activated interactive screen.

You can purchase an Omaha Children's Museum Family Membership for $89 and that gives you access to the museum and rotating special exhibit. Without a membership admission starts at $9.00/person for the museum and $2.00/per person for Dinos The Big Dig.

Have you been to the Omaha Children's Museum to check out Dinos The Big Dig and the other new exhibits?
