September is underway and Fall is upon us! That means there are lots of fun things to do in town in September! Check out some of the events going on in Council Bluffs and fill your calendar with fun!
Annual Fields of Flight Hot Air Balloon Festival at Ditmars Orchard
When: September 5th - 7th, 2014
Cost: $5 Per Car, $2 Per Person
The event kicks off Friday night, September 5th and the fun flight is at 6pm. There will be live music, a Night Glow at dusk, as well as numerous balloons for your viewing pleasure.
Kids Rodeo Event at Big Lake Park
When: September 6th
This event is presented by Crappie USA and Cabela's King Kat Trail. Bring along your fishing pole and bait, including live bait, and get ready for some fishing fun!
Annie Jr at Chanitcleer Community Theatre
When: September 12th - 21st (7:30pm on Fri/Sat and 2pm on Sunday)
Annie Jr. is a 90 minute show that takes you on a journey with our favorite adorable red head, orphan Annie. Annie, Jr. features some of our favorite numbers like NYC, Hard Knock Life, & Tomorrow. With a cast ranging from 8 - 18, this is a local show not to miss! you'll be positively charmed by every member of this talented young cast (entirely ages 8-18, Leapin' lizards!). Iowa Western Community College Homecoming Parade
When: September 18th
Details are still coming in on the parade and event, but it will be a family friendly event to look forward too!
Light Up The Night Rave Ride
When: September 20th
Light up your bike, light up your helmet, light up yourself, and get ready for a fun night bike ride through Council Bluffs!
Harvest, Grain Silos, and Rolling Stock Street Dance
When: September 27th
If you love a good festival, mark your calendars for this one. Details are still coming in on this one as well but get ready for Fall family fun for everyone!
Vineyards and Wineries of Western Iowa at the Tom Hanafan River's Edge Park
When: September 27,
This is the 5th Annual Loess Hills Wine Festival and will feature live music, a grape stomp, craft vendors, kids activities, food, and more. You can purchase tickets at WesternIowaGrapeOwners.org and prices are $30 or VIP for $60.
