Holiday Events in Council Bluffs

The decorations are up at Bayliss Park, and festive films are streaming on Netflix. That can only mean one thing. The holidays are here!! I love seeing the town get festive for the holidays, and I love all the Holiday Events in Council Bluffs for the community to enjoy. Concerts, crafts, and visits with Santa are all on this list, and it will be updated throughout the next two months.







Holiday Events in Council Bluffs 



November 13th - December 24th: Santa's Wonderland at Bass Pro Shop is open with free Santa photos, free crafts, and free games and activities. Days and times of events vary, so make sure you check their schedule before heading out.

November 12th: Shop the Fall Craft Fair at Elks Lodge from 9AM-2PM.

November 14th: Enjoy the sounds of the AL Orchestra Fall Concert at 7PM in the AL Auditorium.

November 17th: Project Reindeer from 6PM-8PM at Union Pacific Museum. Stop by and celebrate the annual holiday lighting ceremony in Bayliss Park, and say hit to Chloe and Sparkle, two of Santa's back-up reindeer! Plus, you can stop inside the museum to warm up with cookies and cider for heading over to the park, and see Santa at Bayliss Park Hall.

November 18th: Stop by for Turkey Bowling on the 100 Block from 6-9PM. For $10, you get to throw a frozen turkey at pins in 9 locations on the 100 Block, and you have the chance to win prizes, as well as enjoy $2 domestic draws.

November 19th: Head to the Ladies Night Out Shopping Event at Kerri's Dance Studio from 6-10PM! There will be 20 vendors and high-end crafters, as well as free wine and appetizers.

November 20th: Head to the Council Bluffs Library from 1:30-3:30PM for The Jungle Book Family Movie event complete with popcorn!

November 23rd: The Thanksgiving Parade at the Council Bluffs Library begins at 10:30AM. Kids can grab hats and instruments, and walk in the parade.

November 26th: Bring the kids to the Council Bluffs Library from 1:30-2:30PM so they can make their own Tin Can Luminary. Bring your own hammer and get their early, because it is a Golden Ticket Event.

December 3rd: Art-O-Doodle is happening at the Council Bluffs Library from 1:30-3PM. There will be an art buffet set up for kids to get creative!

December 4th: Historic Homes for the Holidays is happening from 12-4PM, where you will see beautiful homes decorated for the holidays in Council Bluffs.

December 8th - 10th: Get tickets to Spamalot Musical put on by the TJ High School drama department in the TJ Auditorium!

December 8th: Enjoy the AL Winter Program at 7 PM in the AL Gym.

December 10th: Build Cookie Houses at the Council Bluffs Library from 1:30-2:30PM. Get there early because supplies and space is limited.

December 10th: Shop the Holiday Craft Fair at Heartland Christian School from 9AM-4PM. There are over 50 vendors and admission is $1.00.

December 11th: Enjoy Christmas in Council Bluffs at The Center from 2PM-3PM where you can listen to Christmas carols performed by the Kanseville Symphony.

December 12th: Take in the sounds of the TJ Winter Concert at 7PM in the TJ Activity Center!

December 13th: Experience the AL Show/Jazz Choir/Jazz Band Concert at 7PM in the AL Auditorium.

December 14th: The Santa Party is happening at the Council Bluffs Library from 10:30-11AM, featuring cookie decorating, sing-a-longs, and a visit from Santa himself!

December 15th: Take in more sounds at the TJ Mixed Choir Concert at 1PM in the choir room!

December 18th: Head to the Council Bluffs Library from 1:30-3:30PM for a Finding Dory Family Movie event complete with popcorn!

December 19th: Dinner with Santa at Quaker Steak Lube happens from 5-8PM. Santa will be available for photo and it's Kids Night so they eat for $0.99!
